The Great I AM

Man… I know God is good, but sometimes He just overwhelms me with how good He really is. This morning, I was reminded that our Father knows exactly when to send the right people into our lives—to encourage us, love us, confirm His Word, and bless us when we need it most. That’s not coincidence—that’s God’s providence.

One of His names is El Roi—the God who sees (Genesis 16:13). Just like He saw Hagar in the wilderness, He sees me. He sees you. He knows every detail of our lives, even the things no one else notices. And in those quiet reminders, He reveals Himself as everything we could ever need:

  • Jehovah Jireh – My Provider (Genesis 22:14)

  • Jehovah Shalom – My Peace (Judges 6:24)

  • Jehovah Rapha – My Healer (Exodus 15:26)

  • Jehovah Nissi – My Victory (Exodus 17:15)

And above all, He is the Great I AM (Exodus 3:14), the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is a good, good Father who delights in caring for His children.

So, when doubt creeps in or life feels heavy, pause and remember His names. Each one is not just a title—it’s His promise over your life.

Prayer:Father, thank You that You see me, know me, and care for me. Thank You for being my provider, my peace, my healer, and my victory. When I forget, remind me of who You are. Help me trust that Your goodness is not based on what I feel, but on who You have always been. Today, I rest in the truth that You are the Great I AM, and You are more than enough for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
