A Reminder for the Heavy-Hearted

Jeremiah 31:3

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”

Man… life has really been doing its thing lately. There has been so much change in my life recently, and I didn’t even realize how much it was affecting me emotionally and mentally. I kept moving, kept pushing, thinking I was okay… until I wasn’t.

It all came pouring out in a small prayer group—totally unplanned. One moment I was sitting there, the next, I was face-to-face with the weight I had been carrying for far too long. Brokenness has a way of showing up when we finally slow down. But you know what? That moment became sacred.

Because right there, God reminded me of this truth in Jeremiah 31:3

He has loved me with an everlasting love.

He draws me in with unfailing kindness.

And if you're reading this, I want to remind you of the same.Maybe life has been hitting hard. Maybe you’ve been carrying more than you realize. Maybe you’re feeling the pressure to stay strong, to keep moving, to hold it all together. But you don’t have to. You are not alone, and you are not forgotten.

God’s love for you hasn’t changed. His kindness is still reaching for you. And the same promise He whispered to me is for you too:

"You will take up your timbrels and go out to dance with the joyful." (Jeremiah 31:4)

Your season of joy is not over—it’s being restored.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that Your love is constant and never dependent on how I feel. Thank You for seeing the weight we carry and meeting us with compassion. For the one reading this who feels overwhelmed or unseen, remind them of Your nearness. Let Your everlasting love break through the noise of life and bring peace. Restore joy, Lord. Let us dance again—together. In Jesus’ name, Amen
